I love silence.

All I can hear is the sound of the swings going (and the occasional baby fart) and it's so nice. JP is sleeping on the couch, his typical Saturday morning routine. It's been a pretty nice past couple of days. Wednesday night  went out for dinner with a few other twin mommy's which is always a blast, I love being able to talk about all the crazy shit my boys do with others who know what I am going though. Thursday we had playgroup which was interrupted by a rain storm, and Friday we took a nice long walk since it was super nice out. It's been in the low to mid 60's and I love it. I am so ready for this summer to be over... I just HATE the heat.

The boys have had some interesting moments the past few days. I think my favorite was yesterday. I hear a muffled scream from the bedroom, go and look and I see J. with his hands on the back of A's head smothering him into a Boppy... They are 7 months old and already trying to kill each other. J. proceeded to throw several items at his brother, and hit him pretty much every single time. There has been lots and lots of the shrieking screams. I think our neighbors hate us, also we have been keeping the windows open so probably the building across the street hates us as well. The were really fighting on Thursday and it came to the point where I had to separate them... At 7 months. I ended up putting them in their Bumbos and sticking them in front of the TV and put on a Baby Einstein DVD to get the screaming to stop. J. finds Baby Einstein the most hilarious thing in the world, A. could care less and seems more interested in starting at the red light on the DVD player.

  1. My boys loved baby Einstein at 7, 8, 9 months old. They would sit and watch it for hours if I let them. Now they are at that age where they like it, but they won't sit and watch it.
I know exactly what the screaming and hitting feels like. I KNOW for a fact that my neighbors can hear my boys.
My boys are 17 months old and patience is key at this age. They can scream, hit, bite, and run each other over, but at the end of the day, I think its absolutely precious when they love on each other. My boys do everything together and I can only hope with age that their bond remains.
Its also amazing to watch what they learn from each other. Too cute!
